About Us
The Beehive Kindergarten is a beautiful Nursery School For children 0-11, situated on the delightful Isle of Man.
Founded by Vivienne and Richard Welch in 1985, The Beehive has remained a family run business, focusing on a homely, loving environment where we believe children will thrive and develop to their full potential.
Our reputation is unrivalled; we remain a firm favourite in the community, with most of our children attending due to recommendations from other parents.
Children's work is their play, learning at The Beehive is fun and exciting, careful planning ensures children are stimulated and continuously learning through their play.
We follow The Foundation Stage Curriculum from our baby bees to our pre-school Bumblebees.
Our aim is to work with parents to form a well-balanced, caring considerate child, good mannered and eager to learn.
The Beehive Kindergarten has the largest outdoor area for children in Nursery care on the Island, we believe outdoor play and exploration is vital for children's growth and development and we view the outdoors as an extension of the class room.
We have a beautiful wild garden and vegetable plot, where children grow and eat their own vegetables; even fussy little eaters will eat their vegetables if they have grown it themselves.
The garden has a stunning Wendy house, and large pieces of outdoor equipment to develop their physical abilities and fitness. Bikes, trikes, tunnels, slide, goal posts etc.
In summer we often have barbecues for lunch, and lots of fun with water in the garden.
We also offer Holiday Adventure Club for school children (4-8years), where children are given the opportunity to try exciting activities and the adventure of making new friends. A school drop off and pick up service is also available during school term time (Hive of Activity), where your child will be escorted to and from school and will cared for at The Beehive.
We are registered to take children from the age of three months to five years of age which we have grouped as follows:
Baby Bees 0-2years
Miner Bees Two years
Honey Bees Three Years
Bumble Bees Pre School Year
Holiday Adventure Club School Children (Reception to 8Yr Old)
Hive of Activity: Before and After School Care
